Why does no one have answers? (Part II)
It seems to have become the mission of some temples, gurus, and many Hindu organizations to try and find some or the other justification for every one of our traditions. While there is no doubt their intentions are good, I feel that their efforts have given the wrong message and established a confused approach to our traditions.
Why does no one have answers? (Part I)
Whenever our parents tell us to follow a discipline, or perform some ritual, or celebrate a festival, many of us almost always ask, “Why?” And they almost never have an answer. They don’t know why they are doing what they do because they felt the need to know. So the real question here is not, “Why does no one have answers?” but rather, “Why do we need answers?”
